Preferred Checking Account Requirements

  • No minimum deposit to open
  • Checking account must be funded within 90 days of opening or account may be closed

No Monthly Service Charge If:

  • Your deposit and investment accounts reach a combined total balance of $100,000 at any time during the month5
  • Otherwise, it's $25 per month

A combined balance of $100,000 in deposit+ or investment accounts* is required. One of the Fifth Third Preferred Checking account owners must be listed as an owner on the other accounts to count towards the combined balance.
