Going Further Together
Fifth Third has invested $35.9 million in direct investments into the Russell neighborhood—located in Louisville, Kentucky—and catalyzed an additional $65 million in leveraged investments in the neighborhood for a total financial impact of $100.9 million.
But we know that when we work together, we can achieve so much more. Our lead local community partner is Russell: A Place of Promise (RPOP). Additional partners are the Louisville Urban League, Rebound, New Directions and LHOME.
Our key engagement activities include coordinating community partnerships, providing technical assistance for a major development and supporting RPOP’s Housing and Community Land Trust Working Groups.
Providing Resources to Russell
Cassandra Webb is the Co-lead of Russell: A Place of Promise—our lead local community partner—and director of RPOP Initiative. She says, "Fifth Third’s neighborhood program has provided essential resources to our organization. We have been able to support outreach and engagement focused on RPOP’s plans to incorporate as a nonprofit in 2024 and launch a community land trust in 2025."
