G7 and Denby/Whittier

Going Further Together

Detroit's Gratiot & Seven Mile (G7) neighborhood holds a special place in the history of the Fifth Third Neighborhood Program. As the original pilot neighborhood in 2019, G7 first demonstrated the power of community-driven investment and collaboration. We’re excited to build on this foundation by bringing G7 back into the program and expanding our focus to include the neighboring Denby/Whittier community.

Through a five-year, $20 million commitment, we're investing in priorities identified by residents and neighborhood leaders, including expanding access to housing, supporting small business growth, creating sustainable communities and creating pathways to greater financial inclusion and economic mobility.

Investing in Opportunities for Detroit

Working alongside Matrix Human Services, the Osborn Neighborhood Alliance, Life/Remodeled/Anchor Detroit and Redeem Detroit, we're supporting community-led efforts to help strengthen neighborhoods, expand economic opportunity and build a stronger future for everyone who calls G7 and Denby/Whittier home.

Together, we're helping advance a shared vision for a community where more residents have access to stable housing, local businesses can thrive and long-term investments create lasting impact for future generations.
