Charitable Giving
Philanthropy fuels Fifth Third’s commitment to our communities.
Through the Fifth Third Foundation and Fifth Third corporate giving, we work to improve the financial well-being of our communities.
Fifth Third Foundation
Established in 1948, the Fifth Third Foundation was one of the first charitable foundations created by a financial institution. The Fifth Third Foundation supports worthy causes in the areas of health and human services, education, community development and the arts across the states where Fifth Third Bank operates.
Today, the Fifth Third Foundation supports the communities served by Fifth Third in three primary ways:
- Place-based Economic Development—Philanthropy supports our communities to drive upward economic mobility through housing, small business/economic development, financial access and inclusion, workforce development and energy and resiliency.
- Disaster Relief—Philanthropy helps provide timely support to our communities in the aftermath of natural or manmade disasters.
- Giving Campaigns—Philanthropy supports our community through donations to United Way and organizations that support the arts.
Corporate Donations
Fifth Third also provides monetary donations in support of community events and organizations throughout our Consumer Bank footprint. These donations support the volunteerism and service of our employees and help community organizations to expand their reach and increase fundraising to accomplish their respective missions.
Philanthropy from the Fifth Third Foundation and Fifth Third Corporate Giving is conducted through an invitation-only process. Community organizations who have needs as outlined above should reach out to their local community impact managers for more information.
