Our teams are working closely to facilitate a smooth transition for employees and customers. Full system and brand conversions are expected later this year.

For commercial clients, you can continue using your existing accounts and services and working with your relationship team as usual. Any changes will be communicated well in advance.

For commercial clients engaged in swaps and derivative trading, one immediate change is that Fifth Third Bank, N.A. is now your counterparty under the ISDA documents. All existing swaps will continue with Fifth Third as your counterparty; any future settlements on an existing swap will occur between you and Fifth Third; and there will be some changes to reporting, procedures and disclosures. All impacted clients have been directly notified.

There are no immediate changes to your relationship team. Our goal is to maintain continuity in customer relationships. If changes occur in the future, you will be notified and introduced to your new contacts.

The standard FDIC insurance coverage amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank. While Fifth Third and Comerica are now legally one bank, your deposits at each bank remain separately insured for at least six months from February 1, 2026, the date of closing. This transition period gives you time to make any changes needed to keep your FDIC coverage at the level you want. Separate coverage for certificates of deposit (CDs) may extend beyond six months depending on the CD’s maturity. CDs that mature on or before August 1, 2026, will no longer be separately insured after maturity. CDs with a maturity date after August 1, 2026, will continue to be insured separately until maturity.
