Fifth Third supports EDI service for payables and receivables, facilitating secure transmission of data and documents associated with electronic payments, such as invoice numbers, reference numbers and more.

Your EDI service for payables and receivables will transition to a comparable solution at Fifth Third.
File formats
- Fifth Third supports multiple formats for both EDI receivables and payables.
- Your existing EDI services will be transitioned to Fifth Third with no changes to file formats required, unless you have been notified otherwise.
Reporting
- Your EDI reporting will be delivered digitally through Fifth Third Direct or through file-based transmission.
- Fax and mail delivery of EDI reporting will no longer be available.
Training and transition support
- We will provide you with training on how to access human-readable EDI reports in Fifth Third Direct.
- Your relationship team will work with you to ensure continuity of reporting access following the September 8 transition.
EDI 822 Files
- If you receive a monthly EDI 822 account analysis billing file, you may see changes to the routing number, service codes and service descriptions included in the file following the transition.
- If you currently receive your EDI reports via fax or mail delivery, work with your relationship team to determine the delivery method for your EDI reports (through Fifth Third Direct or file-based transmission).
- Participate in training to learn how to use Fifth Third Direct to access EDI reports if you choose to receive your reports digitally.
- Review any systems or applications that ingest a monthly EDI 822 account analysis billing file and determine whether routing number or service code/description updates are required. If so, update such configurations as needed to ensure the file continues to process successfully.
