Fifth Third Bank Is Exclusive Banking Sponsor of
Cincinnati Energy, Economy, Environment (3E) Summit
Cincinnati – Fifth Third Bank today announced that it is the exclusive banking sponsor of the Cincinnati 3E Summit. Part of Mayor Mark Mallory’s Green Cincinnati Plan, the 3E Summit will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Schiff Family Conference Center in the Cintas Center at Xavier University.
The Summit helps fulfill the Green Cincinnati Plan's educational outreach efforts by sharing energy efficiency and environmental sustainability strategies with businesses, health and educational institutions, and community non-profit and faith-based organizations. The 3E Summit will provide area business and community leaders with specific insights on sustainability efforts, particularly those with a positive impact on the bottom line. National and local leaders will cover winning strategies that have reduced both their greenhouse gas emissions and their costs, confirming that "being green" is a wise organizational decision.
"Fifth Third Bank's environmental sustainability program is representative of the 3E Summit's emphasis on energy, the economy and the environment," said William J. Moran, senior vice president and director of Corporate Facilities for Fifth Third Bancorp. "We are privileged to sponsor this event, which will go a long way toward helping small- and medium-sized businesses operate in environmentally-sustainable ways while achieving maximum business returns."
Attendees of the 3E Summit will learn ways to lower their energy, transportation, waste hauling and water bills while networking with other like-minded businesses on successful, cost-effective sustainability programs.
