Kevin T. Kabat
Career

As CEO, Kevin T. Kabat is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of Fifth Third Bancorp, a diversified financial services company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Company has $130 billion in assets, nearly 21,000 employees and operates 17 affiliates in 12 states. Its four main businesses are Commercial Banking, Branch Banking, Consumer Lending and Investment Advisors. Kabat added vice chairman to his title in September 2012.

Kabat assumed the role of chief executive officer on April 17, 2007. He was appointed president in June 2006. Kabat previously served as executive vice president of Fifth Third since December 2003, and led both retail and affiliate banking since August 2004. Prior to this role, he served as president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank (Western Michigan). He was the vice chairman and president of Old Kent Bank, which was acquired by Fifth Third Bancorp in 2001. He joined Old Kent in 1982.

Education

Kabat received his bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Purdue University.

Professional and Civic

Kabat is a Board member of Unum, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, the Financial Services Roundtable and the Cincinnati Art Museum. He is a member of the Ohio Business Roundtable, Cincinnati Business Committee and the Executive Committee of the ArtsWave Board of Trustees.

He is a member of the Commonwealth Club, the Commercial Club, Cincinnati Country Club and the Queen City Club.

Kabat previously served on the Board of Directors for Davenport University, Lacks Industries, Clark Retirement Community, Grand Rapids Foundation, ADAC Plastics, Right Place Inc., Spectrum Hospital, Consumer Bankers Association, Michigan Business Roundtable and United Way of Greater Cincinnati. He served as the 2009 Chairman for BRIDGES’ Annual Fundraising Dinner.

Greg D. Carmichael
Career

Greg Carmichael was named president of Fifth Third Bancorp in September 2012. In his capacity as president and chief operating officer (named in July 2006), Carmichael oversees the Bank's three lines of business: Consumer Bank (Retail Banking, the Fifth Third Mortgage Company, Credit Card Group and Consumer Finance), Commercial Banking, and Fifth Third Investment Advisors, as well as the Marketing, Customer Experience and Strategic Planning groups of the Bank. He also has leadership responsibility for Fifth Third Bank presidents in 17 affiliates, more than 1,300 banking centers and 100 Bank Mart® locations in 12 states. In his 10 years with the Company, he has provided outstanding direction and vision to the organization and his leadership has helped drive the overall success of the Bank.

In June 2003, Carmichael joined Fifth Third Bank as executive vice president and chief information officer. Prior to joining Fifth Third, he served as vice president and chief information officer for Emerson Electric, a technology and energy solutions provider with more than 300 manufacturing locations worldwide. In addition, Carmichael served in several information technology and leadership assignments at General Electric for more than a decade.

Education

Carmichael received his bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Dayton and master's degree from Central Michigan University.

Professional and Civic

Carmichael is a member of the finance and trust committees of the Bancorp. He is on the Board of Vantiv, Inc. He also serves on the Board of the Cincinnati Museum Center and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Bethesda, Inc. He is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable Advisory Board and The Commonwealth Club. Carmichael also is a sponsor for United Way and ArtsWave.

Steven Alonso
Career

Steven Alonso is head of Fifth Third Bancorp's Consumer Bank, comprised of Retail Banking, Mortgage, Auto Lending, Bankcard, Collections and Credit Centers. He also is a member of the Bank's Enterprise Committee and the Senior Executive sponsor of Fifth Third's Diversity Inclusion Councils. Alonso joined Fifth Third Bank in November 2008 as executive vice president and head of Mortgage and Consumer Lending. He also has been responsible for Business Banking for the Bancorp. Alonso previously served as founder, chairman and CEO of the Oak Street group of companies, which included Oak Street Mortgage (a retail and wholesale mortgage bank), Oak Street Funding (a commercial lender) as well as a debt-buying and collection company. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Bank One's (now JP Morgan Chase) Consumer Finance Group, which included Bank One Mortgage, student loans, home equity, consumer loans and tax-related lending. Alonso started his financial services career with Household Bank FSB and Household Finance after his employment with Procter & Gamble.

Education

Alonso received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. He received his master's degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Professional and Civic

Alonso is presently a board member of the Greater Cincinnati Urban League and formerly was a member of the Indiana Hospital Council (appointed by sitting-governor Mitch Daniels). He is a forum member of the World Presidents Organization, a member of the Retail Banking Executive Circle and a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association. Alonso has been a finalist for Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year.

Frank Forrest
Career

Frank Forrest serves as executive vice president and chief risk and credit officer. In this role, he is responsible for the management of Enterprise Risk Management, Community & Economic Development, Securities Compliance, Commercial and Consumer credit and the Special Asset Group. He joined the Bank in this role in September 2013.

Previously, Forrest held numerous positions in credit and risk management at Bank of America, including Global Debt Products executive and Commercial Banking Risk Management executive. Prior to joining Bank of America, Forrest worked for eight years at the U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a national bank examiner.

Education

Forrest graduated from Florida State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance.

Professional and Civic

For more than 10 years, Forrest served Providence Day School on the board of advisors, board of trustees and finally chairman of the board of trustees. He currently serves on the Wake Forest University College Board of Visitors (2010-2014).

Greg Kosch
Career

Greg Kosch serves as executive vice president and head of Fifth Third Bancorp's Wholesale Bank division. He is responsible for Commercial Lending and Credit, International Banking, Commercial Leasing, Corporate Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Public Finance and Institutional Sales.

Kosch joined the Bank in 1983 and previously served as manager of the Commercial Banking division for Fifth Third Bank (Northeastern Ohio), among a host of other positions. In 2002, Kosch was named executive vice president and manager of the Commercial Banking division of Fifth Third Bank (Chicago). He was named president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank (Eastern Michigan) in 2006 and was named president for the southeast region in 2007.

Education

Kosch received his bachelor's degree in International Business and Finance from Bowling Green State University.

Professional and Civic

Kosch previously served on the boards of New Detroit, Detroit Renaissance, the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion and the Detroit Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also was a cabinet member for United Way for Southeastern Michigan.

Kosch presently serves on the Cincinnati Area Dan Beard Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Cincinnati Zoo Board.

Daniel T. Poston
Career

Dan Poston serves as chief strategy and administrative officer, responsible for Strategic Planning, Distribution Strategy, Capital Planning, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Facilities and Strategic Sourcing.

He previously was chief financial officer, responsible for Finance, Treasury, Business Planning and Analysis, Investor Relations, Accounting and Mergers and Acquisitions for Fifth Third Bancorp. He was promoted to that position in September 2009. Earlier, Poston served as controller for Fifth Third Bancorp, overseeing the accounting, external reporting, and financial systems functions for the Bancorp, and was the Bank's interim chief financial officer from May-November 2008. He was instrumental in the development of the Bank's June 2008 capital plan, which has since been successfully implemented, and management of the Bank's financial position.

Poston joined the Bank in 2001 as senior vice president and director of internal audit and was promoted to executive vice president in 2003.

Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Poston served in the Assurance and Business Advisory Practice of the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP from 1980 until 2001 where he was a partner responsible for the audit of public companies and financial services entities. He also led the Financial Services Industry Group for the Great Lakes market.

Education

Poston received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Poston serves on the board of directors of Vantiv, Inc. and is the past president and board member of Starfire. He also is a former board member and past treasurer of Junior Achievement of Greater Cincinnati, Inc.

Joseph R. Robinson
Career

Joe Robinson is executive vice president and chief information officer overseeing the Information Technology and Operations areas of the Fifth Third Bank. He leads more than 3,000 employees in the Information Technology and Operations divisions in providing innovative solutions and services that support the key strategic pillars of the Company. He and his teams provide technology planning, program management, application development, IT infrastructure management and support all back office and call center activities in servicing Fifth Third's nearly six million customers. He joined Fifth Third Bank in 2004 as senior vice president of Enterprise Solutions, with responsibility for company-wide IT platforms. In November 2006, he was appointed to director of central operations where he was responsible for leading Fifth Third Bank's back office functions and call center services. Robinson was promoted to chief information officer in May 2008 and appointed head of IT and Operations in September 2009. Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Robinson was a line of business chief information officer for GE Insurance, a division of General Electric. He also previously ran operations for GE Insurance and was responsible for the call center and claims operations for the Long-Term Care business unit.

Education

Robinson received a bachelor's degree in management information systems from State University of New York at Albany and a master's degree in business administration from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business.

Professional and Civic

Robinson is a current member of the Board of Directors for Fifth Third Bank (Eastern Michigan). He holds a position on the managing board of the Clearing House Payments Company, LLC and SLK Global Services. Robinson also sits on the board of the INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati.

Teresa J. Tanner
Career

Teresa Tanner serves as executive vice president and chief human resources officer, responsible for Human Resources for Fifth Third Bancorp, including Total Rewards, Business Partners, Diversity, Employee Relations, Executive Development, HR Operations, Learning and Recruiting along with Organizational Development and Planning across its 17 affiliate banks. She was promoted to this position in February 2010.

Previously, she was senior vice president and director of Enterprise Learning for the Bank, leading a division of 140 learning professionals responsible for developing and executing learning strategies that drive organizational performance.

Before joining Fifth Third Bank in 2004, Tanner was vice president of Human Resources Employment for Provident Bank. Her previous experience also includes human capital strategic change manager, divisional human resources manager, senior human resources and development consultant and various operations management positions for the McDonald’s Corporation. She has a vast background in education, human resources and operations management.

Education

Tanner attended Pensacola Christian College and received her MBA from Xavier University.

Professional and Civic

Tanner is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Fifth Third Bank (North Carolina). She is an executive board member of ArtsWave and Ronald McDonald House as well as a board member of the Freestore Foodbank. She is an active member of the United Way Tocqueville Society, Women's Leadership Council and Cincinnati Chamber WE Advisory Council. She also is a member of the Cincinnati Women's Executive Forum and serves as a mentor for the Gardens at GreenUp.

Mary E. Tuuk
Career

Mary Tuuk is executive vice president of Corporate Services for Fifth Third Bancorp, responsible for the Legal, Compliance and Government Affairs functions. She also serves as secretary for Fifth Third Bancorp's Board of Directors. Prior to assuming this role, Tuuk served as president of Fifth Third Bank (Western Michigan) and was responsible for the growth and strategic direction of the four lines of business, including Commercial Banking, Branch Banking, Consumer Lending and Investment Advisors, in Fifth Third Bank's third largest market.

Previously, she was executive vice president and chief risk officer of Fifth Third Bancorp from June 2007 through December 2011. In that position, she had responsibility for the enterprise risk management strategy program and functions of the Company, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, compliance, legal, reputational and strategic risk.

Tuuk also previously served in a variety of risk management roles for Fifth Third Bancorp as well as senior management positions for Fifth Third Bank (Western Michigan). Before joining Fifth Third Bank, she served as senior vice president, corporate secretary and chief legal counsel for Old Kent Bank until Fifth Third Bank acquired the company in 2001.

Education

She received bachelor's degrees in business and music from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her master's degree in business administration and juris doctorate from Indiana University.

Professional and Civic

Each year since 2008, Tuuk has been named one of the "25 Women to Watch in Banking" by American Banker magazine.

Tuuk currently serves on the Board of Directors for Universal Forest Products, Inc. a public company which is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Symphony and is co-chairing the Search Committee for a new Music Director. She also serves on the Grand Valley State University Foundation and she recently rejoined the Board of ArtsWave in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a member of the Financial Services Roundtable and the State of Michigan Bar Association.

Tuuk served on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, Heart of West Michigan United Way, YMCA and Downtown Development Authority. She chaired the 2012 Heart of West Michigan United Way Campaign (raising $12,275,000).

Tuuk also chaired the American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign and the Energize Your Business 2013 Conference. She also served on the West Michigan Policy Forum and the West Michigan Talent 2025 CEO Council.

Tuuk was inducted in 2012 into the Academy of Alumni Fellows for the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in recognition of her significant contribution to the art and science of Management. She served as a member of a special faculty/alumni workgroup on the economic crisis with her alma mater, Calvin College. She worked with Calvin College to create a new initiative for women in business, comprised of the development of a Young Women's Business Institute, Women's Business Network, and Women in Business speaker series. She also in 2012 chaired a special task force for Calvin College to improve financial strategy, governance and financial processes. She also has served as guest lecturer for the Ohio State University Fisher School of Business MBA program.

Previously, Tuuk served as Chair of the Risk Management Committee for the Financial Stability Industry Council for Chief Risk Officers with the Financial Services Roundtable through December 2011, as well as the Board of Directors and Chair of the Allocations Committee for ArtsWave of Cincinnati and the Board of Directors and Chair of the Development Committee for the Cincinnati Vocal Arts Ensemble. She also served on the Advisory Council for the Fifth Third Bank Women's Network.

Tuuk also has sung as a professional soprano in various communities in Michigan and Ohio, including with the Cincinnati Vocal Arts Ensemble and serves as a member of the Council for her church.

Tayfun Tuzun
Career

Tayfun Tuzun serves as chief financial officer, responsible for Finance, Treasury, Business Planning and Analysis, Corporate Tax, Investor Relations and Accounting for Fifth Third Bancorp.

He previously was treasurer, overseeing funding and liquidity, capital management, asset liability and balance sheet management, among other roles. He was promoted to the position of treasurer in 2011.

Tuzun joined Fifth Third in 2007 as a structured finance manager and later served as assistant treasurer.

He started his private-sector career at Provident Bank in Cincinnati as asset-liability manager in 1993 and worked in various senior positions in treasury and finance at the bank. In 2004, upon the sale of Provident Bank to National City, he joined FSI, Inc., a multi-platform hedge fund specializing in the financial services sector. Before joining Provident Bank, he was a faculty member at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Education

Tuzun holds both master's and doctorate degrees in economics from The Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey.
